Betty Winpenny

I made Ucluelet my home many years ago when in my early 20s I went off on a cross-country adventure. I arrived in Ucluelet from the big city of Toronto and fell in love with the area’s natural beauty and the quaintness of our community. I worked in a variety of jobs including the commercial fishing industry – yes, even three years on a fishing boat – and in government administration. In the 40 years I have lived here, I’ve never regretted my decision to relocate. My husband John and I raised our two children here and although their circumstances have them living elsewhere, they often wish they could return to live in Ukee with their children.

In 1995, Judy Gray approached me to work with her in her busy real estate practice and the rest you could say “is history”! Judy and I worked closely together as a team for 23 exciting years. In 2006, I added to my administrative skill set and obtained my real estate license. For all these years working in real estate, the thing I’ve enjoyed the most is meeting new people and helping families find their first home, their forever home or their dream vacation home. As a bonus, many of these clients have now become dear friends.

On June 15th, 2018, the Real Estate rules in BC changed significantly and as a result, I decided it was time to separate myself from The Judy Gray Team and work independently. I am still with the world-renowned brand of RE/MAX and look forward to helping you whether you are looking to sell your home or property or purchase a vacant lot, your first home, or a vacation get-away to enjoy all that Ucluelet and our beautiful Pacific Rim have to offer.
